A group of 40 members of Rurals from Carronbridge, Glencaple, Moffat, Canonbie and
all places between met on Saturday 19 th March. It was a beautiful sunny morning for the
spring walk around Castle Loch at Lochmaben. After a 2 year break Mid Annandale
Group were pleased to host this.
Ladies were welcomed at Lochmaben Church Hall by group president, Norah Muirhead
and offered a cup of tea or coffee. After time to catch up with each other they set off down
the tree lined High Street towards the church then on to the paths around the loch. The great weather was a bonus and added to the enjoyment. The Castle Loch Community
Trust are to be commended for upkeep of paths and board walks.
The ladies retutned to the church hall for a welcome lunch of soup and filled rolls.
