Ladies,
I sit here with the sun beaming brightly through the window. I hope this is not going to be all the Summer we get; it would be lovely to have fine weather for the school holidays with a good sprinkle of rain at night to keep the gardens growing. You will notice I like cake and expect to eat it too!
The ladies of our Institutes are all coming to the end of their syllabus, having AGMs to elect new committees. New ladies with different, exciting and interesting ideas for speakers for the new session in September. We also have a new Triennium begun and the new National Board will make new plans for the future of our wonderful organisation.
Are you coming to the SWI Conference in Perth on the 15th and 16th September. It promises to have good speakers, interesting workshops and friends to meet. Each Federation has been invited to highlight their area. We in Dumfriesshire are planning ours. Why not come along and see all that is going on.
I hope you all have a grand time over the Summer, and I hope I will catch up with many of you when the meetings begin again.
Aye yours Helen
Helen Braid
President, Dumfriesshire Federation of SWIs.
