Institutes

Any woman who would like to join an Institute, or attend a meeting as a visitor, will be most welcome.

You will be classed as a member when you have paid the subscription for the current year and completed a membership form.  Each Institute sets its own annual subscription.  You can join online at theswi.org.uk.

 

Meetings are monthly and most start at 7.30 pm, although some now meet in an afternoon at 2 pm.   We are more than just jam and jumpers - meetings can be talks, craft or cooking demonstrations, discussions, singing, quizzes and games, discussions about books and TV, local history and culture, art and social issues.  We also take part in local and national sports competitions.
